Location was very good, room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was really excellent with personalized service and made-to-order eggs as well as delicious fruit and yogurt among other things. Hotel entrance is quite secure. All that is great but most of all it is the incredible staff that makes this hotel what it is. You could pay $1000 per night for a luxury hotel and not have a more gracious and caring staff provide such personal attention. Our flight to Lisbon arrived early in the morning. We went to the hotel with the hope that we could just drop off our luggage and go out for 6 or 7 hours until check-in. Instead Claudia invited us to the Hotel's breakfast and found us a comfortable space to rest until our room was ready. Ultimately we were able to check in hours early. Then Lara at the front desk asked us what we wanted to do in Lisbon and gave us many excellent suggestions. All the staff were just so caring and friendly. A great experience!

Everything was perfect. The staff were fantastic, particularly Claudia and Gonzalo who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was superb. When we arrived, in the rain, Claudia came out and helped us with our luggage and then got a towel and wiped our suitcases dry. We arrived early and lounged in the common area while they focused on getting our room ready. We really felt like we were their friends rather than guest in a hotel. The included breakfast was fantastic, everything you could imagine, buffet style PLUS made to order eggs. Our TV wasn't working when we arrived and within hours they had a repairman there to replace the cable box. Location is perfect...central to everything. Our room was huge and well equipped.

The staff at this property is excellent. The location was perfect. I did several tours while I was there & it was a short walk to the meeting point of each of them & the train is nearby. There are many restaurants close by. Breakfast includes made to order eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, meat & cheese, cereals & sweets. It far exceeded my expectations. My room (4) overlooked the street but with the shutters closed I had absolutely no trouble sleeping. (Air conditioning is available in case you get warm.) There is a robe in the room & the bedding was very comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay here for a few days in December. The staff are exceptionally helpful, speak great English and have an excellent knowledge of the local area. The hotel is tasteful and cleaned every day to a high standard with extras in our suite room such as a coffee machine, water and bathrobes. Bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of cereals, breads, meat, cheese, fruit and pastries. Eggs are also offered, cooked to your taste each day. The interior of the whole building is so interesting and I loved the Christmas decorations and artefacts on display.

Alecrim ao Chiado (Once upon a House) is just fabulous. We stayed for our 20th Wedding anniversary and they couldn't have done more. The hotel is boutique, but the service was perfect, from the reception, breakfast service and room service, we really can't fault a thing. The location was great, off the main squares so a little quieter, but perfect to find all the attractions whether you want to walk, tram or taxi. (Really close to Pink Street and the Tigris River)
